..dragon fruit...

recently i was posting on my music project blog/experiment about challenging myself to make the mundane an exciting adventure. This week we introduced our selves to a dragon fruit - mmmmm. very good and spectacularly gorgeous...i'm not usually a fan of the colour fuschia, but it is delicious on a fruit! It was shocking to discover the white speckled with black seeds - juicy fruit flesh. It resembled the texture of a kiwi, full of Vitamin C, and tastes very mild...really just sweet and watery!

In other news our long awaited, well worth waiting for, bathroom has arrived - with lovely in-floor heat tiles - just in time for spring :) ...my new hiding place!

  2. honestly i didn't set it up - she did...i saw her delicately trying to place her (almost) daily apparel on the door knob (cause i said 'no caca on the dress'), and had to grab my camara.

  3. i am so jealous of your bathroom! and what a lovely photo. we completely abandoned our main bathroom a couple of months ago due to backed up drains and frozen pipes. the little downstairs bathroom also has its issues and needs a major fix-up. the biggest downside is the size... a mommy and two kids in a tiny tub can get cramped. the upside is that we turn on our gas fireplace before jumping in the tub and by the time we get out, we have a nice warm area to towel off and get dressed in. addie loves that and asks for it every night - "take me to the fireplace!" i like the idea of heated tiles... want to hear more about that!

  4. "take me to the fireplace" - that is Really cute - and wonderful - i wish our fireplace was working (we have a real one, only i think the chimney is falling apart, so we don't dare use it until it is attended to). Heated tiles are very nice - especially in the night, the hardwood floor are quite cool, and then you step on to this nice warm floor - however, stepping onto it after a hot bath/shower...i have yet to feel it's warmth - i think b/c i like my water HOT, the floor feels cool - i guess it could have been ALOT colder though, if they weren't heated - and well - that would be a sad end to a nice warm bath.
