Thank-you Corallee! I've been wearing your pretty flower on my hair scarves. (Covering my disappearing-after-beautiful-baby-hair)
(This was left on my back door step). Thank-you Casual Crafter! I have yet to chat with you about this - I'm assuming it is some delicious cookies in a jar ready to be made! I'm saving them for just the right day! Hope to see you soon!
(This was left on my front door step) Thank-you Kate! Freshly picked apples from their yard. Kate - who does not have a blog - but is a continual resource and inspiration as she pioneered, raising 8 vacc-free children, home birthed 6 of them, and trail blazed ahead of women like me - she is my Titus2 woman! (Did I mention we had one of ours in her basement?) All of her children are amazing and this is one of them here and here! I dare you to listen to her gorgeous music! (63rd breaks my heart)
Thank-you dear Shannon! Who also does not have a blog. New pickles and some homemade condensed soup - we'll save for a slow day. You've warmed my heart with your care and thought, I hope I can be as much a blessing to you all as you are to me :)
Oh my, this is so special. It brought me to tears to see what lovely friends left, the way that they left them, and how much they must care for you. I hope that you had a wonderful day

ReplyDeleteShellyfish-thanks for the add, i'm excited to participate!
Yes, I do have some special friends.
Sometimes I wonder if I was born in the wrong era...I can see fitting in well in a time where neighbores worked together on everything, building homes/barns, baking bread together, caring for one another in a way that is a little more rare today. Perhaps it was survival...but what a beautiful thing, caring, sharing, and serving one another!
My friend Shannon, belongs to a church family of former Hudderites and some Mennonites, who dress 'plain', and I am continally awed, watching them care for one another.
these are special gifts...I have a friend who is a "horse and buggy" mennonite (that is her classification), and I have learned so much from her and her family about selflessness and generousity. she has 8 children and she is always giving me food to take home.
