livn' off the land...

So we just came back from a couple of days at the lake - renovation work for Rene, vacation for me and Selah....i cannot leave the city without my wild plants field guide - Rene teases me about how i can't take my eyes off the ground when we are outta the city - the plants, rocks mesmerize me...i have to wonder, we are surrounded by plants like red clover, dandelion and plantain...under our feet everywhere....packed with nutrients, liver and blood cleansors - funny how people pay for this stuff in health food stores!....the Canadian woods are full of food - that we know little about - one day, perhaps i'll homeschool my kids, one day, in our haybale home out in the middle of no-where, and our science class will be these wonderful plants - think of it - no gmo's, no insecticides/herbacides - fascinating - OK for me it is! ;)
