Therapy is....

Kneading dough...
Reading with my children...
Meditating on a Psalm of comfort...
The days my husband has off from work...
Watching my children play together outside happily...
Drinking a good homemade caffè breve in a beautiful mug..
The smell of one of my children during a hug - smells like heaven...
Listening in the dim lamp light to my husband read to our children...
Sipping a cup of herbal and dried fruit tea at the end of a long day...
Knitting with wood/bamboo needles with inspiring and natural yarn...
Being outside and taking in the sky, feeling the wind and breathing in...
Early in the morning, while the family sleeps, the fresh quiet air in my lungs...
Enjoying the sand under my feet at the beach - and finding sea glass treasures...
The smell of Lavender Oil on my linens, in our hair, in the bath - not meaning to rhyme - but everywhere...

These are a few of my favorite things... What are yours?

  1. your favorite things say so much about your life. maybe, appreciation of the small things may be all that is required to be happy.

  2. Hello! I just found your blog and have fallen in love with it! I was reading your article in Above Rubies and could relate as I just lost a baby in June. The things you said in that article reminded me of myself in ways. Then I noticed you had a blog so I just had to check it out. LOVE! I don't think I've met another Waldorf God loving mama before. Thank you for your inspiration. I look forward to following your blog. Sorry, I don't have a list of my fav things right now as I have comotion going on at my feet and I can't think so well right now. But I love these baby hands on my feet currently, I love sewing, I love when everything smells like lavendar (even my baby's booty), I love rain, Hillsong, the thought of being pregnant again, wood toys and cloth dolls, and my 3 kids playing with stickers together PEACEFULLY in their clubhouse as I type. There's a few off the top of my head. :)
