SpringCleaning::GiveAway::(NoCrySleepSolution&DiaperFree)

Whew...whatta week! Chicken pox is our currant battle this week, with some sweet relief from Chicken-pox-party-guests during our quarantine, but that is a whole other blog post in it's self!

I AM A Minimalist trapped inside of a pack rat....not too proud to admit that. One day I will be able to say that I conquered my pack-rat tendencies. So, it was a big deal when I cleaned out the front hall closet and brought some "rhyme and reason"!

Needless to say spring cleaning is on My Mind! I'm a little embarrassed to show you my project area...Please Help Me Tamara! (Whose project area IS Pinterest ready!) But here it is, my mess, my reality and my potential!

With spring cleaning on my mind, I am parting with 2 books.
Books, books, and more books happen to be a little obsession in our home, one that I'm proud of, but one that does need some corralling. Speaking of corralling and givaways, dear Coralee is ALSO having a giveaway; checkout her LOVELY handmade here!

So...I have 2 new books up for a spring cleaning giveaway: "The No Cry Sleep Solution" AND "Diaper Free"...you can guess what they are all about. Pictures to come....

To enter my spring cleaning giveaway Please leave a comment telling us one or more of the following:

1. Your best organizing advice.
2. Why you want or need these 2 books.
3.An ongoing struggle/obsession in the area of organization.

A winner will be chosen Friday April 26, so make sure you add some kind of contact info if you don't have a blog account. C'mon, let us hear it!

Happy Passover, Easter, Resurrection Weekend!

  1. Wow, your brave for letting us view your work area. It's great that you have a space for your projects (although, I know we never have enough space). I love organizing, but things don't seem to stay organized. So life goes...

    1. Thanks! I want to be genuine and in the "pretty" blogworld, sometimes we don't see behind the scenes...My hubby created my project space to coral the clutter! It is presently in our basement..long term I'd love an area with lots of natural light, but the challenge I hold for myself is that this won't happen until I develop the habits of keeping it organized and appealing :)

  2. Thank you for sharing your space with the world. Know that it sets so many others free when you reveal the honesty in your own life. I really love how well you share the goodies from your friend's blogs. It's nice to feel a sense of community while reading online.

    1. Lol, Donna. Thanks, you are always encouraging! Haven't posted about health and food for a while...but I should be doing something on our Pox Adventures soon, so you are next...for both CP and a feature :)

  3. I am the same as you! A minimalist trapped inside a pack rat's body. I look back to our apartment days as young marrieds. I swear those first 5 years, we owned NOTHING! And we were very happy. We didn't know any better until we bought our house and had nothing to move into it. We splurged and bought two couches but that was it! Awwwww....wonderful memories. Then the babies came and with them came loads of stuff! LOL! Not complaining. We rely off hand me downs. I used to keep it all but then I found a consignment store and I've really been trying to weed through it all and consign what we don't need. Best organizing advice?.....I have NONE! I'm here to reap some PLEASE!!!! Oh, I know, when we tried to "de plasticize" our house, it got pretty empty. :) But every holiday brings an influx of plastic and so its an ongoing battle.

    1. My mom always said, "Great minds, think alike"...guess you and I have great minds! Although when I start to THINK about the phrase, it doesn't make too much sense. Maybe it should be, "those who think alike, gravitate towards one another!"
      I sympathize and pity our own plastic, as it collects, and we give away, and give away. It sounds horrible, but I think I gave away more Christmas gifts than we kept. I started a wish list on Pinterest, for when family asks what to get - I'm hoping they will be interested in looking there, without feeling obligated, hopefully encouraged towards what we REALLY use.
