The flylady.net has been a great inspiration to me.....for years, as an artist, and momma with A.D.D, i have struggled with cleaning house, and simple organizational skills...frustration has been the emotional state for me while combatting these. Lists? have Not worked for me, as i know they have for others. Checkn' things off has not brought the sense of accompishment i've needed....
Thus saying all of this, i have found my miracle...thru humour, and Babysteps...i'm seeing progress, and finding joy and satisfaction in keeping house...so i thought i would plot my progress here.
Besides keeping my sink SPARKELING, the other habits i'm working on are my Morning and Evening Routines.
1. Get up earlier than anyone else - dress n' wash up
2.While in the bathrm. SWISH N' SWIPE
3. Take Dogs for a vigorous walk
4. What's for Supper?
5. Breakfast n' clean-up
6. 2 min. Hot Spot
7. 5 min. DeclutterEvening Routine:
1. Set out tomorrow's clothes
2. 2min. Hot Spot
3. Shine sink, and get rid of any dishes
4. Wash up
5. my time ie. read/knitt
I'm still working on that, "get up before everyone else" part. I can never predict Audrey's waking time. I would have to get up at 6 am everyday to be sure, and that might kill me!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely to have a sparkling sink isn't it?!!
I like sharing different interoperations on things and what works for other FlyBabies. (I do not dress to my shoes… It’s just not going to happen, I love bare feet!)
Maybe I'll blog some of my own FlyLady musings soon too.
Happy home blessing!
Salut Patty-Jean,
ReplyDeleteJ'aime bien ton blog! Bravo de faire du progrès avec une routine quotidienne! J'essaie toujours de trouver une équilibre entre le travail, la famille, les cours d'université et moi-même! C'est très difficile!
