Treasures in the Sand

"Treasures in the sand, treasures in the sand,
Count them, count them, if you can;
1 - 2 -3 -4 -5 -6 -7
8-9 -10, and this one makes 11!"Who does not love the beauty and attraction of all nature's treasures on the beach....and inhale the lake air...I'm sure sea air is nice too, but since the closest ocean resides around 3000 miles away, we are very greatful for all the lakes around us!

We are home from our last-summer-weeklong adventure...Lisa joined us for a couple of great days. She graces us with her hand in the above photo, and a wonderful hand she was with the 3 littles - whether she ment to be or not - we enjoyed her wonderful stories of growing up in Africa!

We'd go to the beach each day, sometimes twice a day...yup, I could easily spend a whole summer at the old cottage. My great grandfather built the little cottage in 1930, while he owned a ran the famous Coney Island Cafe in the little Canadian beach town - that was a main attraction in our province, before people began to drive cars. There was a train called "the Daddy Train", bringing the commuting Father's to the beach while the Mamas and children were beach dwellers for the summer...mmmm...I like that idea!
