They that wash on Monday have all the week to dry;
They that wash on Tuesday are not so much awry;
They that wash on Wednesday are not so much to blame;
They that wash on Thursday wash for shame;
They that wash on Friday wash in need;
And they that wash on Saturday, oh they are slow indeed.

I recently received 2 lovely vintage electric toy irons. I think toys like this today would be banned, but under a watchful eye, I'm sure they can be safe. It actually heats up quite a bit - enough to leave the clothing warm, but not enough to burn.A while back my wonderful Man found this at Canadian Tire! It's some sort of dustbuster with a long handle - but minus the handle it is perfect for play, and helping Mama!
Just like homeschooling - as we dive into it in our first year - I realize I need to be in the habit of allowing and encouraging 'the littles' to help now. My hope is that when they are older, helping won't be a chore, it will be all they know! Privileges with responsibilities. Hopefully I don't sound like a slave master ;)
What a great dustbuster/vacume! I love it and it looks so handy - perfect for small hands. Love the princess dress - maybe we wouldn't dread cleaning if we could look so good! lol Thinking about you and thinking about our promised get together. I am swamped with sewing right now, but I promise we'll make it happen soon.
ReplyDeletePS Stalking your store waiting to see what you put in there ;)
ReplyDeletethe time will come, and we will visit! as for the store - i'm still editing photos! soon very soon!
ReplyDeleteWe have that vacuum too (in yellow) and the photo was taken by Bethanie Louden. Her link is on my 3trikes blog. she is amazing! Have a blessed birthday tomorrow Peej.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder to "let the littles help now" that is something that I need to really work on. It is so valuable for them to learn how to work hard.
