It was a new word to me about 2 years ago. Weird enough, since I was a Kindermusik teacher, studied Music and professional modern dance in University and loved to dabble and experiment in any kind of physical, fiber art mediums - you'd think that I would have heard of it. I began stumbling on it when my slow blog journey began. I was intrigued, because if felt like such a good fit for me....in some ways I felt I had already been doing Waldorf inspired activities with my 'littles' even though I was not familiar with Waldorf.
Play silks, as they call them, have been in our home since before we had babies - only they were multi-coloured scarves from thrift shops that I used in movement and music classes I taught.
(A couple of my students from last year)Lately I've been interested in modeling wax as an addition or alternative to play dough, when and as my children grow older - or for myself :) Rabbit trail: in the glove compartment of our car, there is always a project....I feel like I have forgotten something of great importance like my wallet or water, when I do not have a project with me....if I could I would knit or crochet through our church services and any event possible if I'm sitting hands free without a baby in them - but my beloved brings some balance to me in this sense...otherwise I'm sure I may come across like quite the disinterested soul - I really, really am interested - I just love to have my hands busy!
Hip Mountain Mama is having a *giveaway*...and I'm here to blog about it, and so hopefully, gratefully receive some extra entries. Thank-you Hip Mountain Mama!
