WIP Wonderful Farm Fest!

We had a great time at Farm Fest 2009! The weather was dreamy - Summer in September - I'm loving it! (No, not you McMonster) We had lots of interest in our Little Quiver bed - so that is exciting! I also met a succesful Etsy seller, Spirocreations - herself and her work was inspiring! Have a look for yourself!
Over the last few months, I have attracted into my life, women who've put down their active hands - because of age and health issues. They are full of wisdom and deep knowledge of the fiber arts....if I could sit with one of them each week and just glean from them - I know it would be better than any course or schooling. Life is busy - right?! If you have 'littles' you know this. Rabbit trail: I had a dear friend over yesturday and with our combined children, there were 7 'littles' under the age of 6! Wonderfully busy. I think our conversations between her and I probably lasted a maximum of 60sec. before needs arose, like consoling, intervening, and solving. It's great fun!
Back on track: I've slowly purchased some VERY useful items from these women, like a lovely antique swift for unwinding and winding skeins of yarn, different sorts of sewing items, and yarn. Recently I bought 20 lbs of leather for $20. Much of it is leather clothing that has been taken apart or leather samples. 'Sew', I'm making plans. Today's WIP is my 3 Poppy Purse. It's upcycled from some blue leather pants!

Have a lovely Wednesday!

p.s. If you haven't already checked out the Vintage Swap, do, there are some lovely blogs that are participating.
