Better Late Than Never, my Mama always said, or in other words, justifying procrastination. And in this case some technical difficulties - Here are the lovelies I received from Elizabeth through Vintage Swap. My first Swap! What excitement there was in our house, when we welcomed this package in October.
Some beauties to add to my kitchen! I adore any old cookbook - and just in time for Christmas baking! Recently inspired by Julia Childs, like many bloggers out there, A lovely apron! The dish (my husband loved too), has a date with me and butter (speaking of Julia). Oh yes - butter and I have a close relationship! And to the multitudes of sorry folks ingesting plastic, ahem, I mean margarine, I am so sorry for your loss - loss of relationship with beloved butter! And to add to these pieces, some fabric jewels, velvet, and wonderful ric rac!
I'm so sorry the cutest ever flour bag missed the photo shoot! But it is already destined for a glass frame in my kitchen! I can cross this post off of my list below! Thank-you so much Heather and Elizabeth!
Have a Lovely weekend AND for northerners like us, Enjoy the impending snow!
Just checkin' in to see what the wonderful, creative and industrious patti-jean is up to. Looks like lots of good cooking and crafting as always.
ReplyDeleteAnd as always, I'm jealous of the ease with which you navigate family and home life! Today Dave sat curled up in an armchair trying to read a Flannery O'Connor story while I plunked out Christmas tunes on our new-to-us piano, both of us trying to tune out the clatter of our kids tearing the house apart with active, artistic and largely unsupervised play. Dave looked up briefly and commented that we had gone for so long without kids in our lives that we've never been able to shift out of our old habits! We affectionately call it "The Path of Least Resistance Parenting." The book is forthcoming.
We've struggled through quite a lot of sickness around here, but are considerably better now. We hope to see you all again soon, if you'll have us!
